The Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi announces the start of the implementation of public hygiene services in the emirate

Abu Dhabi, April 7/ WAM/ The Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi announced the start of the implementation of public hygiene services in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in an important step aimed at enhancing the efficiency of operations and improving the general appearance of the emirate.
In the context of these efforts, more than 600 specialized vehicles and 2,800 individuals of human cadres were allocated to implement services during the first stage, with future plans for gradual expansion in the second stage.
Services will cover a wide range of the emirate’s regions, including internal and external roads, around government buildings, markets, pedestrians, vehicles, tunnels, public beaches, and islands, in addition to special events. The services will also include removing random waste waste in open places, to maintain the clean environment of Abu Dhabi.
His Excellency Dr. Saif Sultan Al -Nasiri, Acting Undersecretary of the Municipalities and Transport Department, said that this step reflects the continuous commitment to preserve the highest standards of hygiene in Abu Dhabi, and to ensure the improvement of the quality of life for all residents, workers and visitors.
He added that the goal of strengthening the general services of the department is to consolidate its position as a leading global destination that puts the welfare and happiness of society at the top of its priorities.
This announcement came during the official launch ceremony that witnessed the review of the new services and its strategic goals, while the event included the signing of two agreements with strategic partners in the sector, where the Municipalities and Transport Department signed an agreement with ADNOC Distribution to provide its fleet of cleaning vehicles and other fuel vehicles through the “Mystashin” stations, and the provision of “ADNOC Blu” fuel, which is sustainable fuel designed to reduce Emissions and promoting environmental sustainability.
An agreement was also signed with Sidira, “previously known as Kizad, for complexes”, to provide high -quality housing and services for cleaners in line with international best practices.
