The current edition witnesses the return of the races of the symbols of Their Highnesses the Sheikhs, which represents one of the most prominent stations of the festival, due to its high moral and historical value, as it tops the race schedule and forms a main focus of competitions.

The festival’s program includes 321 rounds, including 112 rounds dedicated to the camels of Their Highnesses the Sheikhs, distributed among the categories of Laqaya with 33 rounds, Izaha 29 rounds, Thanaya 27 rounds, and Al-Hawl and Zumoul 23 rounds.

The competitions also witness wide participation by tribal camels across 209 rounds, including 65 rounds for haqqa, 40 rounds for qaya, 36 rounds for broadcasting, 34 rounds for tanya, and 34 rounds for hawl and zamoul.

The production aspect is strongly present in the festival’s program with 85 races, 4 races for the production of Their Highnesses Sheikhs’ camel establishments, and 81 races for the production of tribesmen’s camels, within the framework of supporting the sustainability of camel racing and developing its breeds.

The symbol competitions stand out as the highest levels of challenge in the festival, as participants compete for 32 symbols, including 8 symbols designated for the camels of Their Highnesses the Sheikhs, including 3 symbols called the “Crown Prince’s Cup,” and 3 symbols called the “Crown Prince’s Rifle,” in addition to the “Crown Prince’s Shaddad” and “Crown Prince’s Sword.”

The festival’s competitions coincide with the activities of Al Marmoom Heritage Village, which constitutes one of the destinations accompanying the event, as it provides visitors to the field with an integrated heritage experience that reflects the authenticity of the Emirati heritage, and at the same time keeps pace with the atmosphere of the races in Al Marmoom Square.

Director of the Media, Marketing, Events and Partner Relations Department at the Dubai Camel Racing Club, Abdullah Ahmed Faraj, confirmed that the participation of the Heritage Village within the His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai Camel Festival comes with the support and cooperation of the partner entities, indicating that this cooperation reflects the integration of government efforts to highlight heritage events in a manner befitting the status of the Emirate of Dubai.
