China said today, it “will fight to the end” and will take counter measures against the United States to protect its interests after US President Donald Trump threatened to impose additional customs duties by 50% on Chinese imports.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce issued a statement this morning, stating that the United States imposed the so -called “mutual customs duties” on China is “completely unjustified and is a traditional practice of monounsaturation.”

China imposed a reprisal customs duties, and the ministry hinted at the possibility of further fees in the future.

The statement added: “China’s counter -measures aim to protect its sovereignty, security, and development interests, and to preserve the natural international trade system. They are completely legitimate measures.”

“The threat of the United States to escalate the fees on China is a mistake above, and it reveals once again about the blackmail of the United States. China will never accept it. If the United States insists on its position, China will fight to the end.”
