The retail sector continues to recover during April

The “Union Cooperative” expected the retail sector to continue to grow in the Emirate of Dubai during the month of April 2025, driven by the end of the second semester holiday, and the readiness of families to return to schools, as well as the return of employees to their work after the end of the Eid Al -Fitr holiday.
Shuaib Al -Hammadi, Senior Director of Information in the Union Cooperative, said that “the recovery indicators that the sector witnessed since the beginning of this year are still continuing, with expectations to increase the demand for markets during this April, as a result of the high consumer demand, the return of life to its natural pace after the holidays, and the start of families to prepare for their children to return to schools.”
He stressed that the consumer markets are working to raise their absorptive capabilities, to meet the increasing demand for school supplies and the basic needs of families and employees, in line with the seasonal offers launched by many brands and commercial centers.
Al -Hammadi expected that retail sales during April would achieve growth in varying and increasing proportions compared to the same period of previous years, driven by improving purchase movement, increasing visitors to commercial centers, and expanding offers and discounts aimed at meeting the needs of returning to schools and working life.
He pointed out that the shopping and shops are making great efforts to provide distinguished shopping experiences, which combine entertainment and interaction with brands, with the aim of maintaining the loyalty of the dealers, and attracting more shoppers during this period that is witnessing an active economic movement, indicating that the “Union cooperative” has allocated for the month of April eight promotional campaigns that include discounts on 3000 food and non -food products, to meet requests Shoppers of all societal groups, taking into account the cultural diversity in the Emirate of Dubai.
He stressed that the strong competition between the outlets constitutes a challenge for all, but at the same time it benefits the consumer through the diversity of offers and improve the quality of services, while the sales outlets seek to provide an integrated environment that combines shopping and entertainment activities suitable for families.
Al -Hammadi called on all sales outlets to exploit this important period to provide innovative marketing solutions, which enhance consumer confidence and push them towards conscious spending, especially in light of the end of the second semester leave.
