Khor Fakkan continues its awakening with Karznar… and achieves its second victory in a row

The Khor Fakkan team continued its positive results under the leadership of its Croatian coach, Damir Krznar, after he led it to achieve its second successive victory since taking over the technical task, following its victory over its host Al Dhafra in the match that was held this Friday evening at Hamdan Bin Zayed Stadium, in the presence of about 1,500 spectators, within the fifteenth round of the ADNOC Professional Football League, in an exciting match that witnessed the award of four penalty kicks, two for each team.
This is the second victory for the “Eagles” with Karznar, after the remarkable victory that the team achieved in its first appearance against Al-Wasl away from home, with a score of 1-0, in a clear indication of the technical and mental transformation that occurred in the team’s performance following the change in the level of the technical staff, succeeding coach Hassan Al-Abdouli.
Khor Fakkan had suffered from fluctuations in results during the recent period, before Krznar took over the job, benefiting from his previous experience in Emirati football, where he had previously worked as an assistant to Croatian coach Zoran Mamic at Al Ain Club, and the team appeared in the Al Wasl and Al Dhafra matches in a different way, characterized by offensive boldness and tactical discipline, which reflected positively on the performance and results.
Khor Fakkan started the match strongly, and succeeded in opening the scoring early through Elton Phillippi in the fifth minute, before Tariq Tisodale increased the lead with the second goal in the 24th minute from a penalty kick, and Al Dhafra reduced the difference through Karim Al-Barkawi in the 36th minute from a penalty kick, before Basson Santos equalized for the hosts in the 70th minute, also from the penalty spot.
Despite Al Dhafra’s return to the atmosphere of the match, Khor Fakkan showed a strong personality, and succeeded in snatching the winning goal in the 84th minute through Werncy do Nascimento from a penalty kick, settling the confrontation in its favor and confirming its right to the three points.
With this victory, Khor Fakkan raised its score to 18 points, temporarily advancing to seventh place in the rankings, awaiting the result of the Kalba and Ajman match, while Al Dhafra fell to ninth place after its score froze at 16 points.
