Trump temporarily stops mutual customs duties on all countries except for China for a period of 90 days

New York on April 9 / WAM / US President Donald Trump announced today, Wednesday, that he will order a temporary cessation of customs duties exchanged on all countries except China for a period of 90 days.
Trump wrote, in a post on the “Truth Social” platform: I authorized a temporary suspension for a period of 90 days, and a significant decrease in mutual customs duties during that period by 10 %, which applies its effect immediately, while it was announced that the customs duties imposed on China were announced to 125 % from now.
The US President announced the imposition of a 104 % total tariff on Chinese goods, and China responded with a 84 % customs tariff.
It was not clear until the moment the fine details of the US President’s plans to reduce customs definitions on the United States’ trade partners immediately.
In conjunction, and after the sudden announcement of the American President today, American stock markets began to rise after it witnessed its largest loss in its history last week, as it lost 6.6 trillion dollars of its total value on Thursday and Friday.
