Customs warfare .. China warns its citizens against traveling to America
The government of Chinese President Xi Jinping appealed to its citizens carefully before traveling to the United States, as part of the expansion of Beijing’s response to the major increases in the customs duties imposed by the Trump administration.
“In light of the deterioration of trade relations between China and the United States and security concerns in America, the ministry advises Chinese citizens to carefully establish the risks of traveling to the United States and be careful.”

Bloomberg News reported that this step came after Beijing responded again to the new customs duties imposed by President Donald Trump, as it announced that it would impose a 84% tax on all imports from the United States, which sparked a disturbance in the markets and the depth of a trade war between the two largest economies in the world.
The Chinese Ministry of Education also called on the country’s students to evaluate the security risks related to the study in some American states, noting a new bill approved in Ohio.
During the Coveyd crisis, China issued a warning about traveling to the United States in April 2020, when the Ministry of Culture and Tourism asked citizens not to go there due to “excessive measures to prevent Corona and the internal security situation.”
Fighting to the end
US President Donald Trump’s decision to increase the customs duties imposed on Chinese goods to 125%, hours after China announced the increase in the fees imposed on American goods to 84% and its pledge to “fight to the end” in the trade war with the United States.
These are the latest increases in customs duties, part of a continuous trade war that threatens to raise prices on consumers in the United States, and obstruct China’s efforts to revive its stagnant economy.
