The UAE celebrates the search and rescue team after completing its humanitarian mission in Myanmar

The Emirates Research and Salvation team received an official reception upon its return to the homeland, after its active participation in carrying out an urgent humanitarian mission in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, after the devastating earthquake that struck the country recently.

Brigadier Salem Abdullah bin Barak Al Dhaheri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, received members of the team upon their arrival, appreciating the heroic field performance they presented under the leadership of Colonel Muzaffar Mohamed Al -Amri, Acting Director of the Salvation and Fire Sector, and the high professionalism that reflects the UAE’s commitment to its humanitarian message, and embodies the rational leadership’s approach to supporting the affected people around the world.

At the forefront of the team was the team, Brigadier Mohsen Saeed Al -Mansouri, Director of the Emergency and Public Safety Sector, Colonel Salem Khalifa Al -Mansouri, Director of the Salvation and Fire Department – Abu Dhabi Foreign, and Colonel Dr. Mitha Mohamed Al -Dari, Director of the Ambulance Department, and a number of senior officers, who expressed their pride and pride in the team’s performance and supervising representation of the UAE in the fields of humanitarian work.

The team received a great praise from U So Thuan, Prime Minister of the Yangon Province, during an official farewell ceremony held at Yangon International Airport, where he expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the UAE for the speed of response, and for the effective humanitarian support that contributed to saving lives and alleviating the suffering of the affected people, praising the great efforts made by the Emirati team, and the professional and professionalism that he showed in implementing his duties, His presence is a qualitative addition to international efforts, and it was a role model in the fields of humanitarian work.

It is noteworthy that the Emirates Research and Rescue Team, affiliated with the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, the General Command of the Abu Dhabi Police, the National Guard and the Command of Joint Operations, carried out search and rescue operations in six sites affected by the earthquake, in cooperation with the authorities in Myanmar and the international teams, within the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, to establish the values ​​of human solidarity and rapid intervention to help those affected in parts the world.

The mission concluded after completing all stages of response and rescue, in a model that reflects the high readiness of the team, and enhances its position among the most prominent international rescue teams, confirming that the UAE does not hesitate to stand by the affected people wherever they are, believing that its humanitarian message exceeds the borders.
