The US Energy Minister concludes his first official visit to the Emirates

Abu Dhabi, April 11 / WAM / His Excellency Chris Wright, USA Minister of Energy, concluded his first official visit to the UAE since he assumed his duties, during which he stressed the strength of constructive relations between the two friendly countries, and the important role of cooperation in the energy sector and its consolidation, especially in light of the joint commitment to the two sides to support global energy security and the stability of its markets.

During the two -day visit, His Excellency Chris Wright held a set of high -level meetings with a number of government officials and leaders of the industrial sector in the UAE, including His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al -Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Managing Director and CEO of Aden and its companies, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Masdar, Chairman of the Executive Board of Directors of the company “XRG”, His Excellency Suhail bin Muhammad Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Brown Infrastructure, His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Al -Suwaidi, Minister of Investment, Managing Director and CEO of the “ADQ” group (ADQ), His Excellency Maryam Bint Mohamed Al Muhairi, Head of the International Affairs Office at the Presidential Court, and His Excellency Youssef Manea Al -Otaiba, the UAE ambassador to the United States of America.

On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al -Jaber said: “Thanks to the vision and support of the leadership, ADNOC continues in its effective contribution to consolidating the position of the UAE, a reliable and responsibility of energy, and a fundamental contribution to supporting growth and progress globally. And progress.

He added: “The visit of His Excellency Chris Wright to the UAE formed an important step to enhance ties between the two countries and create new investment opportunities, including the many areas offered by the strong interconnection between artificial intelligence and energy, and we look forward to cooperation with the US Department of Energy and Administration to stimulate more investments in the sector in a way that contributes to supporting economic and social development and building a more prosperous future for the world.”

For his part, His Excellency Suhail bin Muhammad Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, said: “We welcome His Excellency Chris Wright, the US Energy Minister, on his first official foreign visit since he assumed his duties. The visit to the UAE came at an appropriate time, which constituted a strong boost for our efforts to enhance energy security in our two countries.”

He added: “During the past two days, we conducted fruitful discussions that would improve the Emirati-American relations to new horizons in multiple fields, including energy, infrastructure, trade, and investment, and we are confident that the success of this visit has paved the way for more constructive cooperation between our two countries, and we wish the minister seen all the best in the remainder of his tour in the Middle East region.”

The USA Minister of Energy visited the headquarters of the “ADNOC” company, in addition to a number of strategic energy facilities in the UAE, including “Baraka Nuclear Energy Station”, which currently meets up to 25% of the country’s electricity needs, which were developed under the “Agreement 1 2 3” between the UAE and the United States for peaceful nuclear cooperation.

The visit included the “Shah” field of “ADNOC”, which runs its operational operations in partnership with the American “Oxidental”, which is one of the largest facilities of its kind in the world as it produces more than 1.45 billion standard cubic feet of natural gas per day.

Wright also briefed during a tour of the helicopter on the “Al Dhafra Solar PV station” project.

His visits to these facilities shed light on the importance of energy in advancing economic development and global prosperity.

The meetings, between His Excellency Chris Wright and the leaders of the energy sectors, artificial intelligence and investment in the UAE, dealt with opportunities to enhance partnerships between the two friendly countries, including in the areas of interconnection between energy and artificial intelligence, infrastructure, and manufacturing, where XRG, the new Emirati company for quality international investments in the energy sector, is distinguished by an exceptional position that allows it to play a major role in developing and deepening partnerships With the United States in light of the need to meet the growing energy needs as a result of the growth and development of artificial intelligence databases.
