The Football Association celebrates our national junior team under 17 years old

The mission of our national football team for juniors came to the country coming from the Saudi city of Taif after the end of the team’s participation in the Asian U -17 Cup.

The white of the junior ranked second in his group after collecting four points, and qualified for the U -17 World Cup, which will be held in the Qatari capital, Doha, next November.

The white of the junior began his career by losing against the Japan team, then beat Australia and a draw with Vietnam, and in the quarter -finals he lost from his Uzbek counterpart.

The Emirates Football Association celebrated the team’s mission the moment it arrived at Zayed International Airport in the capital, Abu Dhabi, through an official reception attended by Abdullah Nasser Al -Junaibi, First Vice President of the Federation, President of the UAE Professional Association, Ubayd Salem Al Shamsi, Second Deputy President of the Federation, Ibrahim Hassan Al -Nimr, Fahd Ismail Al Hosani, Yahya Khalaf Al Matroushi, Omar Al Hajj Al Muhairi and Hamad Ahmed Al Mazroui, members of the Board For the federation, a number of fans and families of the players in an atmosphere full of joy and pursuit on the occasion of qualifying for the World Cup.

This fourth qualification for our national team for the World Cup U -17 World Cup after participating in the World Cup in Italy 1991, Nigeria 2009 and the Emirates 2013 when the country hosted the championship, and the qualification to the round of sixteen in the 2009 edition is the best achievement for our team in the history of its past participation.

In turn, Issam Dahi, the team manager, confirmed that the national team qualified for the World Cup came as a result of a hard work from the members of the technical and medical staff and the players who pledged to provide everything they had in order to reach the World Cup despite the circumstances that surrounded the team a few days before the start of the tournament and the loss against Japan in the first round.

Issam Dahi added that the relevant follow -up of the team by His Excellency the President of the Federation and members of the Board of Directors played a major role in preparing the players psychologically and morally for the tournament, which was needed by the players before the start of each match.
