We cannot continue as a nation divided into this way

On Tuesday, former US President Joe Biden directed harsh criticism of the new American administration’s approach to social security, warning of the expansion of the division in the country, in his first major public speech since President Donald Trump returned to the White House.
“We cannot continue as a nation divided in this way, with this amount of division,” Biden said at a conference.
He added, “We have not seen a division in this way before,” referring to the increasing gap between Trump supporters and Democrats.
In a quiet tone, Biden launched a sharp attack on the social policies of the new administration, accusing it of serious damage in less than 100 days since it took over.
He pointed to the demobilization of about seven thousand government employees, which led to significant unrest, such as the failure of official government sites due to the reduction of the IT budgets.
It is noteworthy that social security is an American government program that provides financial aid to retirees and people with disabilities or to the families of the deceased workers.
Biden stressed that social security is a “sacred promise”, saying: “People are now anxious … for the first and only time in history, there is fear that social security dues will be delayed or stopped.”
At the end of his speech, Biden slowed the platform slowly and exchanged conversation for a moment with a number of attendees in the front rows.
