A 5.7 Richter earthquake hit northern Chile … and no reports of losses
On Thursday, an earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale struck the North Chilean area.
The German Center for Earth Science Research (GFZ) explained that the earthquake center was 178 km below the surface of the Earth.
There were no reports of human losses or material damage as a result of the earthquake.
