المملكة: Details of the “Food and Drug” plan to ensure the safety of products in the Hajj season

The Food and Drug Authority announced the readiness of its cadres participating in the Hajj season 1446 AH, to ensure the safety of food, medicine and medical products provided to the guests of Rahman, as part of a comprehensive plan prepared by the authority for this season.
The work of the commission will start in light of the care that the rational leadership – may God protect it – takes on the service of the guests of Rahman, and harnessing all efforts to ensure their comfort and safety, in continuation of the approach that the leaders of the blessed country is going.

Product inspection

The authority participates in control and inspection of products subject to its supervision in the entry of pilgrims, the land, land and sea entry, in addition to following up the food and pharmaceutical facilities and medical sites located within the scope of the holy capital and Medina, and the seasonal medical headquarters of the pilgrims’ affairs offices, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
The authority follows the products received by air freight from the pilgrims’ affairs offices, at King Abdulaziz International airports in Jeddah, and Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International in Madinah.

The Hajj season

The efforts of “Food and Drug” during the Hajj season include the preparation of field studies, and the organization of awareness workshops for workers in the kitchens qualifying to prepare food, to ensure their commitment to health requirements, and to provide safe meals for pilgrims, in cooperation with the holy capital and Medina.
The authority provides awareness messages and introductory programs in several languages ​​to the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God, on the safety of food and medicine.
This early preparation from the authority comes within its efforts to provide the best supervisory services, enhance joint cooperation with government agencies to make the Hajj season successful, and to enhance the Kingdom’s position as a leading country in the management of crowds.
