Saqr Ghobash discusses with the President of the Pakistani National Assembly to enhance cooperation
Istanbul, April 20 / WAM / His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, President of the Federal National Council, and His Excellency Serdar Ayaz Sadiq, President of the National Assembly in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, discussed ways to enhance bilateral and parliamentary cooperation relations between the UAE and Pakistan in various fields, in light of the historical friendship and strategic partnership between the two countries in support of the leaders and government of the two countries.
His Excellency Saqr Ghobash stressed during his meeting with the Pakistani official, on the sidelines of participation in the first meeting of the parliaments supporting Palestine in Istanbul in the Turkish Republic, that the strategic and historical strategic partnership between the UAE and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan represents a model for the established, distinguished and continuous relations, given the desire of my leadership and the two countries of the two countries to upgrade relations towards wider horizons It is broader, and joint work to achieve the aspirations of the two countries, as the governments of both countries seek to enhance the opportunities and paths of cooperation in all vital fields, especially economic, commercial and developmental, which is the strategic agreements that are signed between the two sides in aspects of common concern, which serve their mutual interests and their aspirations towards achieving sustainable development.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance parliamentary relations between the Federal National Council and the National Assembly, by activating the role of friendship committees, to exchange experiences and best parliamentary practices, cooperation in various parliamentary forums, coordination towards issues of common concern, unifying positions and visions towards the topics on the agenda of posts, and discussing opportunities to exchange support for nominations in the membership of regional and international parliamentary institutions, and emphasize The importance of enhancing the role of parliamentary diplomacy in serving national issues, and supporting efforts to achieve common goals.
For his part, His Excellency Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stressed the depth of strategic relations between his country and the UAE, and the desire of the Pakistani National Assembly to develop relations between the two countries and parliament at all levels, to contribute to the consolidation and development of bilateral relations that link the two countries in all fields.
The meeting was attended by the delegation of the Emirati Parliamentary Division, His Excellency Dr. Adnan Hamad Al -Hammadi, Hamid Ahmed Al -Tayer, and Dr. Nidal Muhammad Al -Tunaiji, Fatima Ali Al -Muhairi, members of the Council, Dr. Omar Abdul Rahman Al -Nuaimi, Secretary -General of the Council, Afra Rashid Al -Basti, Assistant Secretary -General for Parliamentary Communication, Tariq Ahmed Al Marzouqi, Assistant Secretary -General for the Presidency of the Council, and Saeed Thani Al Dhaheri, Ambassador of the UAE to the Turkish Republic.
