A new initiative from Dubai Municipality provides flexible work spaces in public parks

Dubai, April 19 / WAM / Dubai Municipality launched an initiative to develop work spaces in public parks, “Work From Park”, in a qualitative step aimed at redefining the role of parks as integrated urban spaces that provide an experience that combines productivity, entertainment and nature at the same time and provides a flexible work environment that makes them more attractive destinations, luxury and quality of life.

As part of implementing this strategic initiative, the municipality signed two memorandums of cooperation with the Amana Group and Let’s Work LLC to support the development of advanced infrastructure for future work spaces and their operation within public parks in the emirate.

This initiative comes within Dubai Municipality’s efforts to activate parks and public facilities as multi-use urban assets that support modern lifestyles and work, enhance economic productivity, and advance community and humanitarian interaction in a manner that is integrated with the objectives of the afforestation and parks strategy 2040 and constitutes a pivotal station in supporting the objectives of the Dubai Urban Plan 2040, in addition to the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

The Workspaces in Public Parks initiative presents an innovative urban model that repositions public parks to be open and productive environments designed to support entrepreneurs, independent workers, and small and medium-sized companies, in addition to the remote work system, in addition to being entertainment destinations.

The first major destination of the initiative is scheduled to open in May 2026 at Al Barsha Pond Park, where it will include modular work spaces designed according to the highest standards of sustainability and integrated with the natural environment of the park. Additional locations will also be launched within the parks throughout the year, which will enhance the spread of the concept throughout the emirate.

Under the agreement, Amana Group, through Dubox Company, will create and develop the first work space from the park in Al Barsha Pond Park, using prefabricated modular construction technology in line with strategies of sustainability, flexibility and speed.

Within the framework of the agreement with Let’s Work, the partnership will focus on activating and operating the initiative within public parks, including Al Barsha Pond Park, to be a flexible work environment open to all.

Through the “Letswork” platform, users will have access to an integrated network of diverse workspaces, including temporary offices, event spaces, podcast studios, and creative production facilities.

Together, these partnerships contribute to achieving advanced integration between design, implementation and operation, ensuring the readiness of public parks to support productivity and work and enhance community interaction.

The initiative will be implemented through a structured partnership model between the public and private sectors, which opens broad horizons for private sector participation, stimulates investments, and supports building a sustainable urban economy based on innovation.
