Zelinski does not rule out Trump’s meeting during the Pope’s funeral ceremony

Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski said on Tuesday that he wanted to meet his American counterpart Donald Trump during the funeral ceremony of Pope Francis in the Vatican next Saturday.

In response to a journalist’s question during a press conference, Zellinski said: “Yes, I want that, I am ready, we are always ready to meet our partners from the United States.”

Direct talks with Moscow

Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski said Kiev is ready to hold direct talks with Moscow after the ceasefire.

“We are ready to register that after a ceasefire, we are ready to sit based on any possible form.”

New American aid packages

Zelinski indicated that Kyiv does not discuss any new aid packages with Washington.

He said: “We have not yet had the opportunity to reach an agreement with the United States on new aid or discuss the details.”
