The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers is organizing a symposium on the reality of public policies in the state

Abu Dhabi, April 23/ WAM/ The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers organized a symposium on “the reality of public policies in the UAE”, in the presence of more than 100 officials and specialists in the field of preparing and measuring the impact of public policies in ministries and federal authorities.
The symposium comes within the efforts of the UAE government to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of public policies, and to ensure the achievement of its national goals and to meet the renewed requirements of various groups of society.
The symposium reviewed a comprehensive report on the most important general policies in the UAE related to the various development sectors that included the social development, health care, education, labor market, economy, and human resources sector, in addition to the environment.
The report focuses on the most important components of public policies and their impact on the concerned groups through nine basic axes, which are the societal fabric, research, development and innovation, flexibility and preparation, the development of the workforce and capabilities, economic, financial and environmental sustainability, digitization and technology, care and social protection, and the ease of access to services, in addition to promoting national culture and identity.
In this context, the recommendations of a study conducted based on the evaluation of the general policies in force in the country, the results of their implementation, the extent of their contribution to achieving national priorities and targets, linked its outputs with the UAE’s priorities 2071, and the results of standard comparison studies with the most leadership countries in various fields.
The study resulted in the determination of more than 100 improvement opportunities in vital sectors that need to benefit from and deal with them through the development of public policies for them, which would improve the services provided to various groups concerned with the country, support the state’s competitiveness globally and enhance the sustainability of its economic growth, and keep pace with global best practices in government work.
