UAE is a role model for “coexistence values”

Citizenship constitutes the nerve of the modern state, protecting tolerance, coexistence and the rights and living of the other, and since its inception, the UAE has a deep vision to enhance the values of citizenship, loyalty and belonging, which has worked to implement and translate it on the ground, through a set of integrated policies and strategies that respond to citizens’ aspirations and expectations for a better life in various fields.
Participants in the citizenship conference organized by the University of Mohammed bin Zayed for Humanities for Humanities, last week, praised the Emirati model in national affiliation and national identity by enhancing the values of coexistence, correcting false concepts and spreading the medium of Islam and its correct image, and emphasized the importance of protecting national identity through generations by enhancing awareness of Emirati heritage and linking it to the principles of cultural and social sustainability.
And they stressed that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, is a purely national code and symbol, in which I embodied the highest meanings of citizenship, giving, sincerity, loyalty and belonging, and on his approach, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the State, may God protect him, believes that building a person is the basic pillar, and that citizenship is not complete.
They pointed out that the UAE is a vivid example of tolerance, integration and cultural pluralism, as it includes more than 200 nationalities that enjoy a decent life and respect. The values of tolerance and coexistence have strengthened through its federal law on combating discrimination and hatred, creating a Ministry of tolerance and coexistence, adopting the national program for tolerance, establishing international partnerships for capacity building, preventing violence, combating terrorism and crime such as the International Institute for Tolerance, the Hidaya Center to combat violent extremism, and the “right” center.
The Chairman of the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa, Chairman of the Forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies, Sheikh Abdullah bin Bey, affirmed that the most important elements of citizenship is the principle of mutual duties and equal rights, which requires positivity in the relationship and distance from the difference and a sense of partnership in interests, and the state of citizenship is the protector of the five colleges, religion, life, ownership, family, and reason You are proficient, but it is behavior and practice that is acquired through education that is concerned with refining behaviors, evaluating behaviors and improving ethics.
For his part, the head of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, Dr. Omar Habtoor Al -Darai, stressed that the UAE is a leading model at the global level, through its patronage of the strongest experiences in strengthening this type of citizenship through documents and legislation and keeping pace with developments, until it became a solid land for citizenship that embodied the values of peace and stability and the abuse of hearts of people, and the coexistence and harmony of all components and partners of the country. At the end of his speech, he called for the establishment of a global platform for citizenship to study and deepen its concepts, and to form scientific teams from researchers and students concerned with the research and developments of citizenship.
Participants in the conference stressed that the UAE experience in absorbing the members of cultures, civilizations and laws represents a bright image of the tolerance of the Islamic religion and the global his message in accepting pluralism and difference and respecting the other and granting him all rights without commitment, and stressed that the positive citizenship is a noble emotion and good morals that the individual feels towards his community, and to participate effectively in the progress of his country with the sacrifices and useful works that are useful and productive It is used to him with goodness and prosperity, and they pointed out that the values of coexistence have become a necessity, exclusion and marginalization threatening society, the state and peace, and that human societies are societies based on pluralism, and this is inevitably a reality, and that pluralism is a double -edged sword, either it is a power to create a consistent social fabric, or be an arena for conflict and division.
