Al -Zyoudi: The Sultanate of Oman, the second largest commercial partner for the Emirates in the Gulf, with a value of 56.1 billion dirhams in 2024

Muscat, April 27 / WAM / Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al -Zyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, stressed that the rising path of the growth of non -oil trade between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman reflects the strength of the historical brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries, and their rational leaderships are keen to continue to advance these relations to new levels of strategic partnership that meets the developmental aspirations of the two countries, and contributes to stimulating joint economic growth, And build more partnerships between the business community on both sides.
He said that the sisterly Sultanate of Oman continues to maintain its position, the second largest commercial partner of the UAE in the Gulf Cooperation Council, and non -oil commercial flows between the two countries continued during the year 2024, its rising track for several years, recording more than 56.1 billion dirhams “15.3 billion dollars” with a growth of 9.8% compared to 2023, with an increase of 15%, 20.3%, 32.4% and 16.7% when comparing the value recorded in 2024 with its counterparts in the years 2022, 2021, 2020 and 2019, respectively.
Al -Zyoudi stressed that the Emirati -Omani relations are an example of what the strategic partnership aimed at achieving prosperity and stimulating sustainable development between neighboring countries, and in a way that contributes to achieving the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples, and returns with goodness and growth on both sides.
This came during the official visit, which was made by His Excellency Thani Al -Zyoudi, to the Omani capital, Muscat, where he participated in the “Advangent Oman 2025 Forum” aimed at highlighting the future investment opportunities and the investment environment that stimulates economic cooperation in the emerging sectors.
Al -Zyoudi also met with His Excellency Qais bin Muhammad Al -Youssef, Minister of Trade and Industry and Investment Promotion in the Sultanate of Oman, and a number of senior officials, where the two parties exchanged visions and ideas on the mechanisms of continuing to upgrade commercial and investment partnership between the UAE and Oman to new horizons, and provide more opportunities for the private sector in the two sides in the future sectors of the economy based on knowledge and innovation.
He also held bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the forum with a number of representatives of the countries participating in this important event from the ministers and senior officials, and discussed with them ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in sectors of common concern.
It is noteworthy that the “Advange Oman Forum” was organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion, where the participants discussed the prospects and transformations of the investment environment globally and the trends that constitute the future of the promising sectors, and discover opportunities, potentials and attractive investment incentives.
