The UAE hosts one of the Asian U -23 Cup qualifiers, 2026

Abu Dhabi, April 30 / WAM / The Emirates Football Association announced that the country will host one of the qualifying qualifying groups to the Asian U -23 Cup finals, which will be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2026, after the AFC approved for the request submitted by the UAE Federation.

The qualifiers will be held from 1 to 9 September next, with the participation of 44 teams that will be distributed to 11 groups, each with 4 teams.

The qualifying lot for next May 29 in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, will be withdrawn, in the presence of representatives of the Asian Football Confederation and the participating teams.

The UAE’s hosting of these qualifiers comes within the framework of the continuous successes achieved by the country in organizing the most prominent major sports tournaments and events, including the Beach FIFA World Cup, the Club World Cup, and the Asian Cup 2019 finals, along with many other international events that established the UAE’s position as a leading global sporting destination.
