Launching an “electronic vaccination card” to facilitate safe access to vaccination records

The Emirates Health Services Corporation announced the launch of the “electronic vaccination card” project as one of the innovative projects for the Public Health Department, with the aim of enabling individuals to easy and safe access to their vaccination records electronically, confirming its pivotal role in strengthening the preventive health system, consolidating the readiness of the health sector, in a way that keeps pace with the state’s directions towards building a sustainable health community, and achieving health leadership at the national and global levels.

The Foundation, represented by the Public Health Department, coincided with the conclusion of the World Vaccinations Week, the activities of the first edition of the fortification symposium under the slogan “Amana”, for two days and with the participation of a group of specialists in the field of vaccination.

The Executive Director of the Acting Medical Services Sector at the Emirates Health Services Corporation, Dr. Essam Al -Zarouni, affirmed that the organization of this symposium embodies the Foundation’s commitment to developing prevention systems and promoting health security for society, in order to achieve sustainable health development goals, and in line with the state’s directions and national strategies aimed at consolidating the culture of preventive health, indicating that the qualitative initiatives that were launched during the symposium, foremost of which is a “vaccination card card Electronic “, it represents an advanced step towards raising the quality of health services and harnessing modern technologies to enhance the efficiency of the preventive health care system.

For its part, Dr. Shamsa Lootah, Director of the Public Health Department at the Foundation, explained that the symposium constitutes a specialized scientific platform to exchange best practices and discuss modern innovations in the field of immunization, stressing that the slogan “Amana” reflects a human and national vision that sees human health a common responsibility that rests with all members of society and its institutions, and requires promoting awareness, collective action, and consolidating the culture of prevention as a priority Poile.
