“Human Resources and Emiratisation” implement visits to recipients of employment

Through the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in cooperation with its partners in the government and private sectors, the United Arab Emirates organized a package of events on the occasion of the International Day of Workers, which falls on the first of May of each year, within the framework of constant keenness to celebrate workers in the UAE on all occasions and thank them and value their role in the development and pioneering process of the state.

The festive activities organized at the state level under the slogan “Our workers are the source of our pride”, the distribution of gifts and the honoring of many workers of facilities and auxiliary workers as well as visiting workers who receive treatment in hospitals after they were subjected to work injuries during the performance of their work tasks in a way that contributes to providing psychological and moral support to them and enhancing their societal affiliation.

This visit comes in the context of the firm commitment of the state to enhance the standards of occupational health and safety, as it takes a great priority to protecting workers and ensuring a safe and stimulating work environment. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has issued a set of extension evidence specific requirements to ensure occupational health and safety in the work environment and in labor housing. The Ministry also follows up the commitment of private sector facilities to occupational health and safety standards, with the aim of reducing occupational injuries and enhancing the well -being of workers in various sectors.

The UAE’s celebration of their global workers comes amid continuous achievements achieved by the Emirati labor market, especially at the level of global labor markets in nine competitive indicators, including the indication of lack of labor conflicts, the percentage of workforce, employment rate, work hours, the ability to attract talents, the preferred destination for global talents, the low cost of separation from service, preparation of migrants, and work flexibility.
