Increased fees for private schools in Dubai will not exceed 2.35%

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai approved the cost of education for the next academic year 2025-2026 at about 2.35%, based on the annual review of the audited financial data for profitable private schools in Dubai, in cooperation with the Dubai Digital Authority.

The authority addressed all the profitable private schools in the emirate, in the event that it wants to amend its fees for the next academic year 2025-2026 by submitting its requests for study and accreditation, in a maximum amount of education cost.

The specialized team in the authority will review school requests to ensure that they meet the specific criteria and conditions, according to the authority’s procedures in this regard, which do not allow private schools that have not been to start operating in Dubai for three years, to apply for amending its academic fees for the next academic year.

The cost of education for the next academic year 2025-2026 is a measure of understanding of expenses and costs related to providing educational services in qualified private schools, and includes a set of factors and costs, including wages and salaries for members of the administrative and teaching bodies, support and support services, as well as rental costs.

“The cost of education is based on a scientific methodology aimed at helping private schools in Dubai to achieve the optimal management of its resources, and to ensure the sustainability of the quality of education in the school education system in Dubai, in a way that meets the needs of parents,” said Shamma Al -Mansouri, Director of Licensing and Educational Services at the Knowledge and Human Development Authority.

She pointed out that a sustainable mechanism for the governance of school fees in private schools in Dubai reflects our keenness to consolidate the principle of transparency, within an educational system characterized by flexibility and efficiency, which keeps pace with Dubai’s status as an attractive international destination for distinguished education, and its targets in the education strategy in Dubai 2033.

Dubai has witnessed the opening of 15 new private schools during the past two years, while the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai is studying more than 20 requests to open new private schools during the next two years, which provides various educational options for the parents of students in Dubai.

Dubai private schools recorded an unprecedented increase in the rates of enrollment in their students by 12% in the last academic year, while private schools in the emirate recorded a growth in the number of students by 6% in the current academic year 2024-2025, and the total number of private schools in Dubai reached 227, receiving 387 thousand, and 441 students belonging to 185 nationalities.

The opening of new schools, and growth in the numbers of students enrolled in the private school education system in Dubai, is in line with the indicators of the “Education Strategy 33” that aims to open at least 100 new schools by 2033, and contribute to enriching the educational scene in Dubai, and meeting the educational needs of the Emiratis and residents of the emirate, by providing high -quality education, based on the quality of students ’life, and is commensurate with various cultures.
