Readiness assessment for children under 3 years of age before admission to “preparatory” British curriculum schools

The Ministry of Education clarified the age for admission to the preparatory stage in private schools that implement the British curriculum only, starting from the next academic year 2026-2027.
The Ministry said in the clarification that the readiness of children born between September 1 and December 31 who are under the age of 3 years is evaluated at the beginning of each academic year, to enroll in the first preparatory stage (FS1) in consultation between the school and the guardian, and if they are not ready, they can enroll in it in the following academic year.
She added that children who are not registered in any educational system and who are born from September 1 to December 31, 2022, are subject to a one-time procedure only during the 2026-2027 academic year, where the most appropriate for them is determined from among the first preparatory stage (FS1) or second (FS2) in consultation between the school and the guardian.
The Ministry confirmed that when a student is registered in a class, he may not later be transferred to another class.
