"The highest motherhood and childhood" and"UAE falconers" They collaborate to educate children about falconry heritage

Abu Dhabi, May 3 / WAM / The Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and the Emirates Saqari Club signed a memorandum of understanding with the aim of promoting national identity and consolidating the Emirati heritage values and customs among children and adolescents, by implementing educational and educational programs and activities that introduce them to the heritage of falconry and its history.
This memorandum comes within the framework of celebrating the day of the Emirati child, which was launched on March 15, and its activities continue throughout the year under the slogan “The right to national identity and culture” under the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak “Mother of the Emirates” President of the General Women’s Federation, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation.
The agreement was signed by His Excellency Al -Reem Bint Abdullah Al -Falasi, Secretary -General of the Council, and His Excellency Majid Ali Al Mansouri, Secretary -General of the Emirates Falfari Club, during the activities of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2025.
The memorandum provides for the implementation of a series of educational sessions and interactive workshops for children, in addition to field visits to get acquainted closely at the traditions of falconry, as well as producing educational materials and stories directed to children that narrate the history of this heritage sport and its importance in building the national identity.
The memorandum also aims to introduce children to the foundations of sustainable fishing and falconry ethics as an inherent part of the Emirati heritage that contributes to developing the child’s sense of belonging and his interaction with his cultural heritage.
His Excellency Majid Al Mansouri expressed his pride in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, appreciating the great support from the rational leadership to safeguard the heritage of falconry, stressing the importance of involving children and women in heritage conservation projects and enhancing the values of affiliation with young people.
For her part, His Excellency Al -Reem Al -Falasi thanked Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, for her constant support for heritage protection and family empowerment programs, praising the partnership with the Emirates Falfar Club, which represents an important step towards instilling authentic heritage values in the hearts of children in a way that enhances building the continuous Emirati character With its roots.
Al -Falasi emphasized that the memo supports the council’s efforts to implement the national childhood strategy and activate the contents of the “Wadima” law, especially with regard to the right of the child to enjoy his national identity and culture through awareness and heritage activities that enable it to interact with his past and participate in his future.
