Ahmed bin Saeed opens the 24th session of the airport exhibition in Dubai

Dubai, May 6 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, President of Dubai Airports, Supreme Chairman of the Emirates Airlines and the group, opened today the activities of the 24th session of the airport exhibition, which is held at the Dubai World Trade Center, with wide international participation of senior officials, decision makers, airport operators, technical solutions and logistical services.

This session is the largest in the history of the exhibition since its inception in 2001, where the participation of more than 6,000 specialists from more than 30 countries, in addition to more than 140 exhibitors from 22 countries, and 150 qualified buyers from 70 international agencies, represent the sectors of airports, aviation and related services from several countries, most notably Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Morocco, India, Italy, Uzbekistan, Pakistan Kenya, and Sri Lanka.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, during his tour of the exhibition wings, stressed that the aviation sector in Dubai is witnessing continuous growth thanks to the expansion of infrastructure and the adoption of the latest technologies, and Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport continue to play a pivotal role in drawing the features of the future of global air travel .. Silver in 2026.

The exhibition highlights the most prominent global trends in the aviation industry, such as emissions, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, predictive operations management, and urban air mobility, as well as the launch of advanced platforms and solutions such as the Aerowise -backed platform with digital twin technology of airport management with proactive intelligence.

The new events for this year include “Electrical Equipment area”, “airport technology wing” and “airport design corner”, while conferences are held on the sidelines of accompanying conferences, the most prominent of which are “Global Airports Leaders Forum” and “Conference and Honoring Women in the Aviation – Middle East”, with the participation of more than 70 speakers from the leaders and experts of the sector.

This session comes at a time when the region is witnessing a major investment boom in the development of airports, in line with the expectations of the International Airports Council (ACI) that the Middle East airports deal with about 1.1 billion passengers annually by 2040, up from 405 million passengers in 2019, which enhances the need for investments exceeding one trillion US dollars in the aviation infrastructure in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region (Measa).

The “Airport Gallery” is a leading platform for communication and exploring future innovations in the field of aviation, and continues to perform its role as a catalyst for the development of this vital sector, in light of the expectations that the number of international travelers exceeds 12 billion passengers by 2030, according to estimates of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
