The UAE is participating in the meetings of the ministries of media ministries in the countries of the Cooperation Council in Kuwait

Mohammed Saeed Al -Shehhi, Secretary -General of the Emirates Media Council, headed the UAE delegation participating in the meetings of the ministries of media in the Gulf Cooperation Council states that were held today in the State of Kuwait.

The meeting was attended by Mohamed Al -Dhahouri, Executive Director of the Media Operations Sector at the National Media Office and Maitha Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Strategy and Media Policy Sector in the Emirates Media Council.

In his speech during the meeting, he thanked the sisterly State of Kuwait for the good reception and organization, and to the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for its continuous follow -up to the work of the media committees.

He stressed that the Gulf media is witnessing a qualitative shift today in its roles, from a traditional means to a force in the formation of awareness and the preservation of identity, and said that this transformation holds us double responsibility for setting integrated Gulf media policies, which elevate the content, and protect the digital space, to protect the values ​​and higher interests of our societies.

The meeting discussed a number of priority topics for joint media work, most notably the age classification of electronic games, evidence and controls of Gulf business production, activating media partnerships with regional and international organizations, in addition to initiatives to employ artificial intelligence in the media industry, and Gulf media leadership qualification programs.

This meeting comes within the framework of the ongoing efforts to develop the joint Gulf media work system, and to unify the visions towards building a responsible media, accompanying global changes, and protects the interests and established Gulf societies.
