Accreditation "Abu Dhabi Winter Games" New name for "Abu Dhabi Ice Sports"
Abu Dhabi, May 12/ WAM/ The Abu Dhabi Ice Sports Club announced its official name to become “Abu Dhabi Winter Club”, with the aim of expanding its sporting activities, to include various winter games.
His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Club Board of Directors, stressed that this change is a support of the directions of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and to enhance the club’s position as an active sports institution, keeping pace with the requirements of modern life for members of society, and contributes to achieving the visions and strategies of the council, by providing integrated sports programs, to develop talents and refine them, and qualify athletes to compete at the regional and international levels.
His Excellency said that the new name enhances the comprehensiveness of the club’s vision that goes beyond the ice and skiing, to support a complete system of winter games, through a modern training environment and rehabilitation programs that accompany the highest international standards, in order to enhance the club’s position as a sports institution specialized in this field.
He pointed out that since its publicity in 2009, the club is working to spread skiing, and the ice hockey game in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, preparing and developing the club teams, to achieve achievements, and cooperate with local, regional and international sports organizations and organizations, hosting championships to promote the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and support sports and tourism activity, noting at the same time the strategic role of the Haki ice Academy, in education and training for different Society groups.
