"Emirates Health Services" She celebrates World Nursing Day

Dubai, May 13 / WAM / The Emirates Health Services Corporation organized a special effectiveness on the occasion of the International Nursing Day, which falls on May 12 of each year, and this year is held under the slogan “Our nurses are our future, interest in the nursing staff enhances the strength of the economy and supports its prosperity”, with the wide participation of nursing cadres working in the institution’s facilities, and the presence of a number of health leaders.

The event witnessed a professional competition between 16 pioneering projects presented by nursing competencies from various facilities of the Foundation within the event “The race of excellence for nursing cadres”, aimed at encouraging innovative practices and enhancing the culture of continuous improvement in the nursing sector.

His Excellency Dr. Essam Al -Zarouni, Executive Director of the Acting Medical Services Sector at the Emirates Health Services Corporation, stressed that the nursing cadres are a pivotal partner in building a more flexible and sustainable health system, noting that the “race of excellence” is one of the pioneering initiatives aimed at consolidating a supportive environment for creativity, and stimulating competencies to actively contribute to improving the patient’s experience and raising the level of quality of services and leading change on the ground.

Dr. Sumaya Al -Balushi, Director of Nursing Administration at the Foundation, stressed that this year’s participation reflects the success of the professional development system for nursing cadres that the Foundation applies in its various facilities, in addition to its adoption of methodologies based on best practices in this field,

She said that the participants were distinguished by their diversity and integration, as it dealt with central issues such as developing health education programs for patients, enhancing their safety, improving their experience and enabling them to participate actively in treatment plans, as well as upgrading the efficiency of clinical work and preventing risk in emergency care environments, by adopting the evaluation and smart follow -up tools and based on evidence, in a clear evidence of professional progress achieved by cadres Nursing, and its ability to offer realistic solutions based on daily practices.

The event concluded by announcing the winning projects in the first three places, which were chosen by a specialized committee according to the standards of innovation and influence and the extent of its harmony with the institution’s priorities, in the forefront of which was the Al -Amal Hospital for Mental Health of the Foundation entitled “Towards a safe and sympathetic treatment environment without restrictions” that focuses on improving patient experience by adopting calm methods based on cooperation instead of restriction tools Traditional.

The Foundation of Kuwait in Dubai Hospital won the second place for its preventive project “Fall Tips”, which was specially designed to avoid falling accidents in the internal department, through the use of dedicated interventions according to the needs of each patient by relying on innovative tools to assess the risk of falling and analyzing visual signals, and the project achieved remarkable results by not registering any fall incident during the last three quarters of 2024.

The “Rapid Path” project for the fourth and fifth levels in the emergency department of the Foundation’s Kalba Hospital won the third place, to distinguish it in reducing the waiting time and improving the flow of patients’ flow, by accelerating the screening and treatment of simple cases, and allocating more resources for critical cases, which contributed to improving the treatment results and raising the quality of services, and enhancing customer satisfaction and happiness.

The Emirates Health Services Corporation affirmed through this event its firm commitment to enabling the nursing staff to participate in the leadership of improvement and development in the health care sector, in line with the targets of the national nursing strategy and the kiss 2022 – 2026, and enhances the presence of the UAE as a model in the quality of nursing care and professional innovation.
