We work together to make peace in the region

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, confirmed today, Wednesday, that Doha and Washington can continue to work together to bring peace in the region.

“We all want peace in the region and we hope that this will be achieved,” the Qatari channel of Al -Jazeera quoted Sheikh Tamim as saying during his meeting today with US President Donald Trump in the Emiri Diwan in Doha.

“I know that you are a man of peace and want to bring peace in the region,” he added, noting that Doha and Washington can continue to work together to bring peace in the region or other regions such as peace between Russia and Ukraine.

The Emir of Qatar expressed his enthusiasm for the American Qatari discussions that will include peace in the region and investment and energy issues, and stressed that his country will participate in its experience in organizing the 2022 World Cup with the 2026 World Cup teams in America.

In turn, the American President told the Emir of Qatar, “We loved each other and worked together at the highest levels to bring peace in this region and through the world,” adding, “You help us to bring peace in several regions such as Russia and Ukraine and we will see a development in this file.”
