The program comes within an ambitious strategy to build research alliances with the elite international universities classified among the 100 best universities according to the Shanghai classification, with the aim of enhancing research and innovation in the areas of smart health, prevention, early diagnosis and treatment, especially with regard to disabilities and neurological and genetic disorders.

His Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman stressed during his speech at the conference that the Kingdom is within its ambitious career towards global leadership, continuing to consolidate its presence in the fields of science, technology and the future through a national vision led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
In light of the Vision 2030, it turned into a pioneering project led by His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and based on that ambitious vision, future sciences emerge as a basic pillar of national transformation, and the Kingdom is working to support technologies such as nanotechnology, stem cells, and artificial intelligence in medicine, which contributes to reducing the cost of health care, increasing the effectiveness of prevention and treatment, and achieving the quality of life Better for citizens and residents.
The King Salman Center for Disability Research comes at the heart of this trend, through a wide network of partnerships that includes more than 140 scientific and research entities inside and outside the Kingdom, most notably the University of “Kaost”, King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, King Faisal Specialist Hospital, and the Ministries of Health and Education, and these partnerships focus on converting scientific research into practical and practical initiatives that enhance the Kingdom’s position as a global center in science Disability and rehabilitation.
In this context, the King Salman Center for Disability Research announced the organization of two scientific events, the first “Forum of Disability Experts” in August 2025 in Riyadh, and brings together a group of experts and researchers from inside and outside the Kingdom, with the aim of presenting the latest scientific research and providing fundamental solutions that contribute to improving the lives of persons with disabilities, and enhancing the integration between knowledge and application, and the second is the “Seventh International Conference on Disability and Rehabilitation” in December 2026, With global participation.
