Creativity platform .. “Architecture Arts” launches the “Down Town Design” exhibition Riyadh

Under the auspices of the Architecture and Design Arts Authority of the Saudi Ministry of Culture, the activities of the “Dawn Town Design Riyadh” exhibition will be launched during the period from 20 to 23 May 2025, at the creative center “Jax neighborhood”.
The exhibition is a pivotal event in the march of the development of the creative and design scene in the Kingdom, as the authority’s commitment to enhancing the presence of contemporary designs and the local specific content.

Multiple experiences

The exhibition extends over an internal and external space, and offers a diversified program that includes global marks and emerging talents from the region, as well as an overwhelming cultural and sensory experiences that include hospitality, design, and interactive art.
The exhibition provides visitors with the opportunity to explore the latest innovations in the design through limited release offers for world leading names, as well as qualitative contributions from local designers.

Saudi creativity

Local creativity occupies a pivotal position within the activities of the exhibition, through the “Designed in Saudi Arabia” initiative, which highlights the capabilities of Saudi designers in the fields of architecture and industrial design, in addition to a special corner for architectural structures and interactive works that were previously assigned from local cultural institutions.
The Architecture and Design Arts Authority offers an interactive composition entitled Woven from the implementation of Ruba Al -Khalidi, which includes an interactive indulgence used directly during the exhibition, in an artistic expression that combines heritage and modern technology.
National cultural institutions also participate in a number of presentations, most notably from the King Abdulaziz Global Cultural Center (enrichment).

Dialogue sessions

The “Forum”, the intellectual exhibition platform, hosts a series of daily sessions, workshops and open discussions on central topics that include sustainable architecture, innovation, the role of design in forming social environments, and future trends in creative industries. One of the sessions is devoted to highlighting the contribution of women in the design of our surroundings, through comprehensive and progressive curricula.

Technical offers and experiences

The exhibition includes a number of overwhelming structures and temporary shows that mix traditional craftsmanship and future visions, the most prominent of which is an external synthetic work entitled “Strategy” built of local sand using the mark of soil technology, to provide a visual and physical experience that evokes the identity of the place.
The exhibition is also witnessing an innovative hospitality experience that mixes art and food, providing illuminated sweets and conceptual drinks, which reflects the creative spirit of the exhibition.

Through this event, the Architecture and Design Arts Authority confirms its pioneering role in supporting and empowering creative industries in the Kingdom, and enhancing Saudi Arabia’s presence on the global design map, by providing a university platform that allows interaction between local and international designers, and contributes to enriching architectural and technical dialogue in the region.
