The Kremlin confirms the possibility of holding a meeting between Putin and Zelinski in this case

The Kremlin said that the meeting is possible between Russian Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian Folodimir Zellinski, provided that it is preceded by “agreements” that conclude between Moscow and Kiev, the day after the first direct negotiations between the two parties since the spring of 2022.
“A meeting like this, which is the fruit of the work of the two parties and the conclusion of agreements, is possible, but only after agreements between the two parties.”

Access to an agreement

The Kremlin also confirmed that the continuation of discussions with Kiev is possible only after the exchange of prisoners agreed by the two parties on Friday in Istanbul during direct talks, the first between them since the spring of the year 2022.
On Friday, the Ukrainian delegation in Istanbul’s talks suggested that the Russians hold a summit between the two presidents to find a solution to the conflict, and Moscow said it “took a flag” with the proposal.
