Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Complex sets a new global number in the Guinness Book of Encyclopedia

The concentrated solar energy project within the fourth phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Complex, which is implemented by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, has achieved a new global number in the global “Guinness Puritors”, on the highest production capacity of a solar power station concentrated with one location with a capacity of 700 megawatts.

The Managing Director, CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer, received the certificate from the official arbitrator at the Guinness Foundation for Records, in the presence of a number of officials of the authority.

Commenting on this new achievement, Saeed Al -Tayer said: “Achieving the new world number comes from the concentrated solar energy project, in the context of our commitment to achieving the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him, to enhance Dubai World leadership in the field of renewable and clean energy using the latest innovative technologies to reach climate neutrality by 2050.

Al -Tayer added: “We are proud to achieve this global recognition, which reflects our firm commitment to innovation and sustainability, and confirms Dubai’s pioneering position worldwide in the field of clean and renewable energy and the green economy. This achievement also highlights our ability to develop giant projects that achieve a balance between economic development and the preservation of the environment, to preserve the right of future generations to live in a clean, healthy and safe environment.”

The fourth stage of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Complex, whose production capacity is 950 megawatts, uses three common technologies to produce clean energy, which is the solar energy system concentrated with counter -cuts with a total capacity of 600 megawatts, and the solar energy tower concentrated with a capacity of 100 megawatts, in addition to solar panels with a capacity of 250 megawatts.

It is noteworthy that the fourth stage previously reaped two numbers in “Guinness Records”, from the “highest concentrated solar energy” in the world, a height of 263.126 meters and “the largest storage capacity of thermal energy” in the world with a capacity of 5,907 megawatts an hour using solar energy concentrated with the technology of equivalent pieces and molten salt.
