Abu Dhabi’s culture and tourism reveals the second series of "Abu Dhabi holdings group"

Abu Dhabi, May 20/ WAM/ The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi revealed the second series of the “Abu Dhabi Coldings Group”, which presents artworks of great historical importance, presented by the most prominent artists, and highlights the position of Abu Dhabi as a global pioneering cultural center.

The latest exhibition in the series includes important artworks that document pivotal moments in the history of art, to present to the public a rare opportunity to see a collection of holdings that encourage a deeper understanding of art.

The group, which aims to preserve and display prominent artworks, calls on fans of art and researchers alike to indulge in the exhibition and contribute to the national and international artistic dialogue.

Among the most prominent exhibits are the two paintings of French painter Jean – Babetet – Simyon Sharadan, dating back to the eighteenth century, and although they were completed with a joint commission, the two paintings were separated – “musical instruments, fruit and guitar basket of nature”, and “musical instruments and parrots” – to two separate groups in 2014, then they were re -collected for the first time since.

The two plates are embodied in the ingenuity of Sherban in the use of light, texture and syntax, with an invitation to appreciate music, nature and the beauty of daily life.

The “EL Gran Espectaculo” plate “El Gran Espectaculo” “The Nile” is also presented, as this triple painting, which was accomplished at the height of the artist’s march in 1983, explores complicated historical topics through the distinctive Pascia style.

The launch of the second exhibition confirms the commitment of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi to protect cultural heritage and build a world -class artistic group for future generations, while guiding tours will be presented to attract the public, enrich the narration of the stories behind each piece, which enhances permanent links with these artistic works.
