The Minister of Health meets his Mauritanian and Cuban counterparts to discuss ways of cooperation

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, met Dr. Abdullah Sidi Mohamed, Minister of Health of Mauritania, and Dr. Jose Miranda, Minister of Health of the State of Cuba, to discuss ways of cooperation in the health sector, on the sidelines of the activities of the 78th session of the World Health Assembly in the Swiss city of Geneva. Topics of common concern, on top of which are pharmaceutical manufacturing, facilitating the entry of pharmaceutical products, recording and exporting medicines and medical supplies, as well as emphasizing the importance of training medical personnel through specialized training programs for doctors and modern medical technologies, and included cooperation aspects of supporting efforts to combat infectious diseases. The two meetings touched on the possibility of cooperation in developing the health insurance system, expanding comprehensive medical coverage, to enhance health integration, and the ability to send specialized medical convoys, in the context of supporting efforts to provide comprehensive health care, and to provide diagnostic, treatment and surgical services in various disciplines.
