The 28th session of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award is a new station in its global career
Dubai, May 21 / WAM / Ibrahim Jassim Al -Mansouri, Acting Director of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, confirmed that the launch of the twenty -eighth session of the award is a new station in its global career.
Al -Mansouri said, in a statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM”, that this session, which carries the slogan “We are looking for the most beautiful Quranic voice in the world”, confirms the position of the award as the most expensive in the world in the field of memorizing and reciting the Holy Quran, and comes with a comprehensive development vision to enhance competitiveness and discover and honor the exceptional Quranic talents from all over the world.
He stressed that this development reflects the keenness and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him, the sponsor of the award, to support and encourage the memorization of God’s book and honor and honor the distinguished people in the world, while announcing the raising of the total prizes to more than 12 million dirhams where the first -place winner gets a million dollars in both male and female categories.
Al -Mansouri pointed out that opening the door for participation from various countries will enhance the strength of competition and reveal exceptional Quranic talents, stressing that the award adopts accurate criteria that include memorization, intonation and the beauty of performance to ensure access to the best Quranic voices.
To ensure the accuracy of the arbitration, he explained that a new arbitration regulation was created in cooperation with a group of experts and specialists in the science of readings, as well as developing an integrated electronic program to arbitrate the competition in cooperation with Dubai Digital to be used in all stages of the award.
Al -Mansouri stressed the pivotal role of Quranic institutions in the UAE in preparing citizens’ keepers from an early age, which enables them to participate and compete effectively in the award, which has become one of the most prominent global Quranic platforms.
He explained that the award this year will witness three liquidation stages through which the best memorizers of the Holy Quran in the world will be chosen, hosting them in Dubai, and honoring the winner of the first place during the blessed month of Ramadan.
