Mansour bin Muhammad chairs the first meeting of the Supreme Committee for the Protection of the Rights of People of Determination for the year 2025

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Protection of the Rights of People of Determination, chaired the first meeting of the committee during the year 2025, which was held in the Jalila Children’s Hospital, in the presence of members of the committee and representatives of the relevant government agencies, in the context of following up the implementation of the Executive Council Resolution No. (83) of 2024 regarding the formation of the committee, and within the efforts to achieve the directions of Dubai Social Agency 33 towards a more comprehensive and fair society in the protection and empowerment of owners Identity.
The meeting reviewed the most prominent developments of the social and financial support system provided to people of determination in the Emirate of Dubai, and the mechanisms for providing aid and their priorities during the next stage, including support for caregivers, and the provision of medical devices and support.
The rights of people of determination
On this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said: “The meetings of the Supreme Committee for the Protection of the Rights of People of Determination come to confirm our firm commitment to consolidating an integrated system that guarantees the owners of determination their full rights, and enhances their active participation in various areas of life. That puts human welfare and empowering its priority.
His Highness added: “We are working in coordination with the various concerned authorities to develop policies, legislations and initiatives that guarantee the arrival of people of determination to services in high quality, and to enable them to contribute to the development process. Through this committee, we will continue to build on what has been achieved, and expanding societal and institutional partnerships, to achieve a tangible and sustainable impact worthy of Dubai’s aspirations and enhances its position as a leading destination that embraces everyone without exception.”
The meeting was attended by the members of the Supreme Committee for the Protection of the Rights of People of Determination, who are His Excellency Engineer Matar Muhammad Al -Tayer, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al -Marri, His Excellency Hessa Bint Issa Bouhamid, His Excellency Eng.
The meeting concluded by emphasizing the importance of unifying institutional efforts, continuing to modernize the central databases, and expanding the scope of support for the most needy groups, in line with the vision of the Emirate of Dubai for a solid and coherent society and translates the aspirations of the rational leadership towards consolidating a global model in empowerment and social justice.
Field tour
His Highness conducted a field tour of the Center for Growth and Rehabilitation of the “Jalila Children”, where His Highness reviewed the rehabilitation and diagnosis environments and therapeutic facilities at the center, and directed to continue to raise the efficiency and intonation of services, and link them directly to the needs of families and individuals. His Highness also briefed his traditional handicrafts designed from the natural stone, at the hands of the students of the Sheikha Metha bint Rashid Al Maktoum, for those with determination, in a humanitarian message confirming the depth of the capabilities inherent in the owners of determination if they have appropriate opportunities.
His Highness also stopped at the Emirates Academy of Down Syndrome platform, where this project, which was established by the Emirates Syndrome Association, is a leading model in sustainable professional and social integration, and one of the outputs of institutional empowerment that enhances the contribution of people of determination to the societal economy.
