المملكة: Social Security … new development programs and initiatives for beneficiaries

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has implemented a package of development programs and initiatives, which contributed to the transformation of the social security system into an integrated development platform.
It aims to empower individuals and beneficiary families and raise the quality of their lives, through comprehensive tools that include financial support, professional qualification, digital services, and social facilities.

Social protection services in Saudi Arabia

This transformation comes within the Ministry’s targets to the ministry; To upgrade social protection services, and move them from traditional care models to a sustainable system that enhances self -independence.
It also supports the beneficiary groups in various economic and social aspects, in line with the aspirations of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The Ministry has also launched a number of technical services that enable the beneficiaries to follow up their condition from the need to visit the branches, including the digital card that allows immediate knowledge of the state of eligibility.
In addition to the digital comprehensive service for the elderly and persons with disabilities when there are no adult followers.
This is in addition to facilitating the submission of objections and complaints electronically, which contributed to enhancing transparency and reducing waiting time.

Empowerment clinics

The Ministry also developed an integrated system; To enable the beneficiaries through “empowerment clinics” that provide economic, social and psychological consultations, concerned with professional qualification and guidance, and the design of individual empowerment plans commensurate with the conditions of each family.
In addition to activating the “empowerment paths” that provide education, training and employment opportunities, in partnership with government agencies and the private sector, which led to enabling thousands of joining the labor market, or establishing their own projects.
These efforts were completed with a set of facilities provided by the Ministry in cooperation with a number of bodies, including exemption from school transportation fees and “measurement” tests, reducing infant formula, exemption from judicial fees, and providing soft loans through the Social Development Bank.
Besides development housing services and exceptional acceptance of the children of beneficiaries in a number of public and private universities, it also includes food, electricity and school bag support, which automatically spends students registered in the Noor system without the need to submit an application.

The developed system of social security

The developed system of social security relied on the standard of family income instead of its social condition, which allowed the benefit of limited income employees whose income is less than the barrier, in a move that reflects the elasticity of the system and its based on the actual need.
The Ministry confirms that the social security system represents a major pillar in the map of social transformation, not only in providing support, but by building a national model for social protection.
It establishes the concepts of empowerment and independence, and keeps pace with the aspirations of the rational leadership – may God support it – in the development of man and ensure a decent living for all groups of society.
