European Union: Trade between bloc and the United States must be based on mutual respect

Brussels on May 23 / WAM / The European Union Commercial Commissioner Marush Shevchevich said today that the European Commission is committed to reaching an agreement in favor of the “European and American” parties, but stressed that the trade between the bloc and the United States must be based on mutual respect, not threats.

US President Donald Trump said he would impose 50 percent fees on cluster exports.

“The European Commission is still ready to work in good faith,” she added.
