11 people were injured by gunfire in South Carolina, USA

At least 11 people were injured and were transferred to hospitals after a shooting Sunday night in a coastal town in the US state of South Carolina, the authorities said.
The Hururi Province police did not reveal the cases of any of the injured in the shooting, which occurred at 9:30 pm on Sunday (0130 Monday GMT) in Little River.
Hururi District Police said on social media that investigators were receiving reports of more people in the hospital in private cars.
About 90 minutes after the shooting, the police described it as an individual accident, confirming that there is no danger to society.
The authorities did not issue any information about the potential suspects or led to the shooting.
The shooting occurred on a residential street, which includes a few boat companies near the coastal inner waterway.
Videos from the site showed dozens of police cars and ambulances rushing to the area and getting out of it.
Lauren Jesse, a spokeswoman for the city of North Merctel Beach, said that a policeman from the city had accidentally shot his leg, while dealing with the shooting accident, in a marina about 5 km away.
Jesse added that the policeman was taken to the hospital while he was in a stable condition.
Little River is located about 32 km northeast of Mercet Beach.
