Our project is to be liberated from the dual weapon

The Lebanese Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, said that our country, which was exhausted by divisions, wars, and commandments, decided to regain itself, its word, and its state, noting that “our project is based on the correlation of reform and sovereignty that requires the exclusive weapon, that is, to liberate from the dual weapon that was leading to the dual resolution and the loss of the national state project.

He said during a speech at the Arab Media Summit in Dubai today: “Our vision for Lebanon is not a fiction, but a realistic draft: a state of law and institutions … a sovereign state that is not dependent … a state of decision -making, not a battlefield.”

He added: “We want Lebanon, which owns its decision in peace and war … We want Lebanon rooted in its identity and its Arab affiliation, which is open to the world that is able to be a bridge between East and West. Today, after Lebanon has returned to the Arabs, it is longing for the return of its Arab brothers to it, an effective return based on partnership and integration.”
