His Eminence the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al -Tayeb, Sheikh of Al -Azhar Al -Sharif, Chairman of the Council of Muslim Elders, stressed that the Arab Media Summit has become a platform for intellectual and media discussion in our Arab and Islamic world, in addition to discussing the role of the Arab media in facing modern moral challenges.

He called during a major speech at the summit, the participants to reach a joint Arab media strategy that can be applied, and is able to express the reality of the nation, its pain and tragedies, and a qualified to protect the youth, who is about to fall prey in the nets of digital platforms that control the direction of his feelings and emotions and work hard to absent him from the reality of his nation and to confront its challenges, where he is about to decorate him with his bad work by destroying The differences and the removal of the borders between virtue and vice in the minds of many of them, and with the marketing of false and very tempting slogans, and other slogans that afflicted our country with something quite a few societal diseases that negatively affected public taste and were disturbed by the criteria of good and ugliness, and the balance of error and right.

He said: “We Arabs and Muslims have suffered from media and reports that distort our image in the mirror of the West, after what they linked to Islam and violence and extremism, the injustice of women, and its image is false and faded in the form of a social or political movement calling for violence, intolerance, hatred and rebellion against the world order.”

He pointed out that there are still a lot of intense media efforts made to confront the phenomenon of Islamophobia, and to confront it, even though it is nothing more than a sick illusion or imagination that made a convergence to distort the image of Islam and degrade its principles that are based on peace and coexistence.
