Under the patronage of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the “Judicial Role in Stability of Society” conference confirms the importance of establishing family stability

Under a generous patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, the Ministry of Justice, in cooperation with the General Women’s Union, and in partnership with the Judicial Department in Abu Dhabi, organized the work of the “Judicial role in the stability of society” at the headquarters of the General Women’s Union over two days, from 28 to 29 May.
The conference was attended by Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al -Nuaimi, Minister of Justice, Mubarak Ali Abdullah Al -Neyadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, and a group of consultants and specialists, as well as a number of leaders and officials of federal, local and international governmental institutions concerned with community and family affairs, from within the state and from many European and Arab countries.
The conference stressed the importance of the judiciary in consolidating family stability and societal cohesion, as it is a pivotal pillar for protecting rights, achieving justice, and promoting national and social cohesion.
This conference comes in conjunction with the 2025 declaration “The Year of Society” in the United Arab Emirates, and within the framework of the national efforts to consolidate the role of the judiciary as a tool for development and stability, and to enhance the UAE’s humanitarian and legal approach to achieving sustainable community justice.
The Minister of Justice said, in the opening speech, that this important conference enjoys the generous sponsorship of His Highness the “Mother of the Emirates”, which we can only stand in appreciation and reverence for the sincere efforts made by its highness and its local and regionally extending initiatives to advance motherhood, childhood, women, empowering families and preserving human dignity for a brighter and prosperous future.
He added that the UAE has realized since its inception that family cohesion and national and societal cohesion constitute the cornerstone of the stability and prosperity of the state, and from this standpoint the rational leadership was keen to build an integrated system that meets the needs of society quickly and efficiently, and preserves human dignity and rights, through laws, legislations and proactive policies characterized by justice, flexibility, innovation, and that organized legislation and procedures The discreet judicial contributes effectively to protecting the social fabric and enhancing its stability, which is clearly evident in the efforts made by the federal and local government institutions concerned with protecting the family entity, and consolidating our authentic values, in a manner that ensures the formation of universal and tolerant generations amid the challenges imposed by digital and cultural openness.
Noura Khalifa Al -Suwaidi, the Secretary -General of the General Women’s Union, emphasized the pivotal role of the wise leadership led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him”, and the unlimited support for His Highness “Mother of the Emirates” for everything that enhances the pillars of the stability of the Emirati society, and protects its values and original principles, and in this context its support comes to this important conference through which we are keen in cooperation with our partners. Strategists to highlight the role of the Emirati judiciary in promoting justice and community security.
She praised the partnership between the Ministry of Justice and the Judicial Department and the General Women’s Union in organizing this event, expressing her hope that the conference will come out with recommendations that support the sustainability of community security and social justice.
Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Al -Kamali, Director General of the Judicial Training Institute stated that the Judicial Training Institute is keen to continue to spread the legal culture and enhance it through organizing lectures, seminars and specialized workshops throughout the year, because of its importance in promoting a family balance, preventing disintegration and dispersion between family members, and enabling community members to know their rights and duties.
He added that the conference was attended by representatives from all the federal and local parties concerned with judicial and family affairs, as well as members of the European Arab Network for Judicial Training from outside the state, who represent several European and Arab countries, were invited by Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan and Palestine, and the network constitutes an interactive international dialogue platform to exchange experiences and benefit from the best practices in the field of supporting the stability of the family, As the basic nucleus of society, the first pillar in building stable and conscious generations.
He explained that the conference includes 4 main sessions that focus on a number of qualitative axes, most notably, organized legislation and judicial applications that contribute to society’s stability, the reflection of the elimination of family stability, in addition to shedding light on practical and leading practices in protecting society and enhancing family stability.
On the first day, international experiences were reviewed, believing from the organizers that each society has its own characteristics, and each judicial system has its integrated tools that take into account its national identity and values.
Al -Kamali praised the role of the Emirati judiciary and its ongoing efforts, in cooperation with the state institutions, in creating a solid legal system that seeks to protect the family and ensure its sustainability, in a way that keeps pace with social developments and preserves the national fabric.
And he stressed in his statement to the Emirates News Agency, “WAM”, the importance of the mother’s role in addition to the role of the father in raising children and achieving cohesion among family members.
The judge, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Al -Shehhi, Secretary -General of the Federal Judicial Council, in his statement to Lam, pointed out that the council contributes to reviewing and preparing a lot of legislation and regulations related to the Personal Status Law, including the establishment of specialized courts that consider family issues as well as establishing many legislative regulations related to the promotion and protection of the family, stressing on the occasion of the general community the importance of the judiciary in supporting family stability.
