"Trends" Participates in an international conference to preserve the ice rivers in Tajikistan

Doshnbeh, May 31 / WAM / The Trends Center for Research and Consulting participated in the work of the high -level international conference on preserving the ice rivers, which was held in the Tajik capital, Doshnbeh, and was opened by His Excellency the President of Tajikistan, Imam Ali Rahmoun.
The center represented a delegation headed by Abdulaziz Al -Shehhi, Deputy Head of the Scientific Research Sector, and the membership of Hamad Al -Hosani, Head of the Department of Political Islam Studies.
Al -Shehhi gave a speech in which he indicated that the melting of the ice rivers represents one of the most dangerous consequences of climate change, stressing the need to strengthen international cooperation to confront this phenomenon, and commitment to the implementation of global agreements, such as the Paris Climate Agreement 2025, and the UAE’s historic agreement issued by the “COP28” conference.
He stressed that the shift to renewable energy is a strategic solution to alleviate the effects of global warming, pointing to the importance of increasing clean energy production and improving energy efficiency by 2030.
He referred to the pioneering Emirati model in adopting renewable energy projects, as the state seeks that clean energy sources constitute 44% of the energy mix by 2050, through investments of up to 163 billion dollars in solar energy technologies and sustainable projects.
