Gaza – the United Nations calls for an immediate and independent investigation into the killing of civilians during the distribution of aid

The Secretary -General had confirmed earlier that the United Nations would not participate in any plan (related to aid in Gaza) that fails to respect international law, the principles of humanity, integrity, independence and neutrality.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs confirmed that the Israeli -military distribution plan cannot in any way to meet the enormous needs in Gaza.

Jonathan Whital, head of the office in the occupied Palestinian land, said that the “US -backed entity”, which was established to implement this plan, which is the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”, gives “an institutional character” to the restrictions that Israel imposes on providing aid from the beginning.
