Inzaghi will receive $ 57 million from the Saudi Crescent in two years

Al Hilal Saudi Club announced its contract with Italian coach Simone Enzagi, who led Inter Milan to the Champions League last week, for two seasons until 2027, according to what the club revealed in a statement published on Wednesday night/Thursday.

The club wrote through its official account on the “X” platform: “The Italian genius is here. Welcome, Simoni Inzaghi. ”

According to press reports, Inzaghi will receive about 50 million euros (about 57 million dollars) during his contract with the “leader”.

Al -Hilal had sacked his Portuguese coach, Georgy Jesus, earlier in the season due to the decline in the results, and temporarily assumed the task of the former team star, Mohamed Al -Shalhoub.

The team lost the domestic league title in favor of Al -Ittihad, as well as out of the AFC Champions League – which crowned its title four times – for the Saudi Al -Ahly.

Inzaghi will soon arrive in Riyadh to lead the team’s training, in preparation for leaving the United States to compete in the Club World Cup.

On Tuesday, Enzagi announced his departure from Inter Milan by mutual consent, after losing the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain 0-5 in Munich. He also led the team to the 2023 version, which he lost to Manchester City with a single goal.

Inzaghi said in an interview with Al -Hilal after signing his contract at the George V Hotel in Paris, in the presence of club president Fahd bin Naval: “I always wanted to have a training experience outside Italy, and Al -Hilal is a great opportunity in my career. I am familiar with the team, as I followed him a lot, especially when we played in Saudi Arabia with Lazio and Inter.

He added, “I follow Al Hilal with great sympathy, and they own Serbian midfielder Sergey Milinkovic-Savic, who previously trained in Lazio. He is not only a distinguished player, but has a great personality. ”

In its ranks, Al -Hilal has an elite group of stars, including the Portuguese Robin Nevish and Joao Kansilo, Brazilian Malcolm, Serbian Alexander Metrovic, Moroccan Yassin Bono, and the star of the Saudi national team Salem Al -Dossary.

The Italian coach stressed: “My goals with Al -Hilal are clear: winning titles and serving enjoyable football. We want to achieve the twentieth title in the league, and put the second star on the shirt. We will rely on speed, ferocity, and insist to win the largest number of matches. ”

A qualitative shift in Saudi football
Saudi football has been witnessing a qualitative shift for more than two seasons, by contracting international stars, players and highly qualified coaches, as well as a noticeable development in the level of local players.
The Saudi League included great names, most notably Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Neymar, and the national team previously contracted with Italian coach Roberto Mancini.

A global challenge in the Club World Cup
Inzaghi touched on the upcoming participation of the 2025 Club World Cup, which he described as a high -level championship, expressing his enthusiasm for the first confrontations against Real Madrid and his new coach Shabi Alonso, on June 18 in Miami.

He said: «I faced Real Madrid in the Champions League with Inter, and I also met Shabi Alonso when he was a coach of Bayer Leverkusen. It is a big confrontation and we will do everything we can to provide the best. ”

Al -Hilal is located in the eighth group, along with the Austrian Red Paul Salzburg and the Mexican Pachuka.

A career full of titles
It is noteworthy that Simoni Enzaghi fought most of his career as a player with Lazio, where he won the Italian League title in 2000, and he appeared under the shadow of his older brother, Philipo Enzaggy, who starred with Juventus, Milan and the Italian national team, but he did not achieve the same success in his training career.
Inzaghi coached the Lazio team between 2016 and 2021, and led him to the Italian Cup in 2019. Then he moved to train Inter Milan until 2025, where the Italian league was won in 2023, and the Italian Cup in 2022 and 2023, before losing the league title this season in favor of Napoli, and bid farewell to the cup from the semi -finals against Milan.
