A slight decrease in oil prices with expectations for weekly gains to support US-Chinese commercial talks

Oil prices witnessed a slight decrease today, Friday, but are heading to achieve the first weekly gains in three weeks, supported by the resumption of trade talks between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, which strengthened hopes for achieving economic growth and stronger demand in the largest global economies.
Brent crude futures decreased 12 cents, or 0.2%, to $ 65.22 a barrel, and US West Texas Intermediate crude futures decreased 15 cents, or 0.2%, to $ 63.22, after up to 50 cents on Thursday.
On a weekly basis, Brent crude is heading to 2.1%, while West Texas Intermediate crude records an increase of 4%, after the two -year decrease for two consecutive weeks.
