From the classroom to the international platforms .. Two Emirati students sparkling in “Globekum 2025”

In an academic experience that turned into a starting point towards promising professional prospects, the two Emirati students, Dana Atiq Al -Musabi, and Sarah Mohammed Al -Murr, went through the last year of the Bachelor of Communication and Media Sciences Program at Zayed University – an exceptional international challenge through their participation in the project of “”Globcom 2025To write an inspiring success story in the world of strategic communication and environmental work.

A real summary

The story started when Dana found herself working on a real summary for an international institution, to tell “Emirates Today”: “It was an inspiring experience, during which I felt that I was applying what I learned away from the limits of the classroom, and I am actually preparing to enter the labor market.”

Collective work

She added that group work with colleagues from 13 countries gave them a new perspective to develop communication campaigns, and learned to overcome cultural differences under the umbrella of passion and the common goal.

On the other hand, Sarah described to “Emirates Today” her participation in “Globekum” as a detailed station on her career, saying: “Working with an international team gave me skills that are not acquired from books alone. I realized the importance of flexibility, and the audience understands through a wide cultural lens.”

A new perspective

And she continued: “One of the simplest advice I received from one of the experts:” Search, then search, then search ‘, I started seeing the world of communication with a new, deeper perspective. “

Environmental issues

The experiment not only stopped at the limits of communication, but also exceeded it to deep environmental issues. The two students expressed their belief in the ability of digital games to raise the awareness of young people towards wildlife. “When environmental messages are combined into their favorite games, the effect becomes stronger and honest,” says Dana. While Sarah believes that technology has become the language of this generation, and that its investment in favor of our planet is no longer an option but a necessity.

Youth role

When asked about the role of Emirati youth, enthusiasm was present in their words. Sarah says: “We do not only have ambition, but we have an unlimited leadership support in the field of sustainability,” adding: “My message to every young man: Do not restrict your ambition. Go out of the rest area, the real effect starts from there.”

The spirit of experience

Dana concluded with a phrase that reflects the spirit of experience: “It was inspiring to be part of an academic project seeking to make a real difference … So how will the feeling be when this dream turns into a tangible reality?”

New chapter

Thus, Dana and Sarah wrote a new chapter in the story of an Emirati youth that makes his way to the world, carrying an environmental, human, and communication message that inspires future generations.

Environmental education

For her part, Dr. Gayel Bishiri Duharir, Acting Dean of Graduate Studies at Zayed University, told “Emirates Today” that hosting the “Globekum 2025” symposium reflects the commitment of the university and the UAE to enhance environmental education and international academic cooperation.

Conversation

She explained that choosing the topic of “games in preserving the environment” reflects a recent trend in communication via interactive media, stressing that the partnership with the “Banatra” organization gives students an opportunity to work on realistic environmental issues.

Student skills

She added that the project enhances students’ skills in strategic thinking and work within international teams, which qualifies them for the global labor market, and confirms the leadership of Zayed University in practical education with a societal impact
