The Football Association emphasizes the importance of justice and transparency in choosing the host countries for the Asia appendix

The UAE Football Association called on the international and Asian federations to neutralize when the host countries choose the matches of the Asian attaché qualified for the 2026 World Cup Finals, scheduled to be held in October this year.

This came in an official letter addressed by the Emirates Federation to the international and Asian federations, stressing “the importance of justice and transparency in the selection process, which must be according to the regulations and regulations that guarantee the rights of all national teams participating in the Asian attaché.”

The Football Association said in a press statement: “The Emirates Football Association officially submitted a request to host the matches of one of the two groups, according to the deadline specified by the continental federation.”

He pointed out that «the UAE has achieved great successes in hosting the largest championships and international sporting events with the testimony of everyone.

It is noteworthy that the UAE national team is the best in terms of arranging the teams participating in the Asian attachment, as it ranked third in its group with 15 points.

Six teams are awaiting the Asian World Cup Appendix, the 2026 World Cup, scheduled for officially on July 17, where the matches are scheduled to be held on the eighth, 11th and 14th of October.

The list of qualified teams included the attachment, both the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Iraq and Indonesia.

According to the system set by the Asian Football Confederation, the qualifiers for the two teams are playing the third and fourth places of the three groups, whose competitions ended last Monday.

The two teams with first place in each group qualify directly to the 2026 World Cup, while the two teams with second place compete in a confrontation with the home and away system that will be determined by November 13 and 18, and the winner will go to an international annex to play on March 26 and 31 of the next 2026, and the winner will go directly to the World Cup.
